Today we’ll be talking about What is your passion. I’ll also share with you my passion and motivation, and why it is so important that you determine your passion. Do you have a clear defined passion? Do you know why you are doing what you do?
Finding your passion, we hear about it a lot and it seems like only the lucky ones get to do what really drives them for a living. Let’s start by discussing how you find your passion.
I speak to a lot of people that say they have lots of ideas, but can’t ever bring it into focus. I wrote a blog post yesterday on being flexible where I used this example:
Dan Miller always says that you need three things to create a successful business involving your passion.
1. Your passion
That is the thing you love doing! What are you crazy about and want to share with others. So you may have a few ideas running through your head, that’s not a bad thing. You can definitely sort through various ideas. But what will help you define your passion is to choose the one you would like to do most and set up a plan. There will always be detractors from your goals. Don’t let them get into your head. Nothing was ever accomplished by just sitting there.
2. Your talents
What Talents do you posses that directly match up with your passions? There may be various things you like, but you may not
3. Some kind of economic model
How are you going to get paid to do what you are passionate about. I love cheesecake, but no one is going to pay me to eat cheese cake. (If there is such a gig out there please let me know ) I love cheesecake, I’m pretty talented at eating it, but there is no money in that. But, if I started creating awesome cheesecake recipes and showing people how to make an amazing cheesecake people may purchase my recipe’s.
